Tips for setting up this free South America wall map:
Cutting and Piecing Together
Most printers/copiers have at least some sort of margin when printing, so you’ll need to cut off the white space at the edges of your printed pages before fitting them together. I’d suggest starting at the middle and working your way out on both sides so you don’t end up with a lot of misaligned print. Also, you don’t need to cut off the margins of all the sides of every page, only the page that will be overlapping.
Printing Overlap
There is approximately 2 inches of overlap printed on each page. This allows you to have a buffer for fitting the pages together smoothly.
Caution
Depending on your printer or copier the content on each page may not be printed at true 90 degree angles. This may cause the lines to not line up exactly. I use a black marker to go through and “touch up” borders to make it look better. Also, although the accuracy of this map is probably suitable to your needs, it would not hold up to the standards of a serious cartographer.
